Trainee Driver is a rank automatically given to players when they join the official Stepford County Railway Roblox group. As the name of the role suggests, they are considered as new members of the SCR Driver team, responsible for driving trains to transport passengers across the network.
The Trainee Driver rank has access to the same roles and job abilities as a Qualified Driver in-game. The rank does not provide any extra amenities in-game, as SCR does not reserve any trains or routes exclusive to group members. However, it gives players the opportunity to rank up to positions such as the Qualified Driver rank after they have obtained 60 Experience. Still, many people don't bother to rank up after joining the group, making this rank have a much bigger amount of users in comparison to higher ranks.

The Trainee Driver uniform
- Just like Guests, Trainee Drivers wear a white Trainee Driver uniform when they spawn as a Driver, regardless of the train operator.
- This rank is the in-group equivalent to the Guest rank with the perk of being able to attend Qualified Driver trainings.
- Trainee Drivers can still try out Dispatcher, Guard and Signaller roles by playing on a Private Server.
